THE STORY
How MALAT Started
At the age of 25, Tasbeeha Q. gave life to MALAT, not from a business plan, but from a feeling that refused to stay quiet. While studying in the 4th year of medical college, surrounded by routines, rules, and repetition, she began to notice something missing, the absence of colour, softness, and personal expression.
THE BEGINNING
It started with something missing.
What began as a simple curiosity slowly became a question that refused to disappear.

THE SEARCH
1.5 YEARS
6 MONTHS
Too Much. Too Little.
Colours were either too loud or too lifeless. Textures looked good but lacked the softness MALAT needed.
12 MONTHS
Still Searching
Hundreds of samples came and went. Some were comfortable, others beautiful, but none had the character.
18 MONTHS
Then, We Found It.
After one and a half years of searching, the right fabric finally appeared. Soft, breathable, refined, and exactly what MALAT had been waiting for.

Eventually, the right fabric appeared.
Sourced through a major brand connected to an international fashion house, it felt different from the very first touch.

THE IDEA
One hoodie. More than one mood.
MALAT started with one frustration.
Hoodies were either comfortable or stylish, but rarely both. And almost never adaptable.
So the sleeve became the starting point.
The result was Flip-Zip.
DESIGN LANGUAGE
Softness has a shape.
MALAT is built around contrast, balancing structure with softness, calm with expression, and minimalism with romance. Every piece feels effortless while carrying a detail that makes you look twice. Nothing is added without purpose, every detail has a reason.

Medicine taught the discipline. MALAT gave it another language.
Tasbeeha Q. founded MALAT at 25, while still studying medicine.
One world taught her precision, patience and responsibility. The other gave her a place for colour, creativity and individuality.
MALAT became the space where both could exist.
A brand born from the contrast between a structured life and a restless creative mind.
